Thank you for following The Anointed Pen: Writing as a Sacred Call for Kingdom Influence series.
I truly appreciate you for joining me on this journey to uncover the significance of being a Kingdom writer.
Our focus for this month of April has been:
Writing as Spiritual Warfare: The Power of Words to Shape the Spiritual Atmosphere
As April comes to a close today, April 30th, 2025, I’d like to share a personal experience. And it is on being AWAKE AND ALERT and guarding your divine writing mandate.
One of the subtlest yet fiercest battles a Kingdom writer will face is the warfare of forgetfulness, the tendency to neglect or delay your own God-given writing instructions, especially when you’re actively pouring into others. You can be so focused on encouraging, mentoring, and building others that you unknowingly abandon your own scroll.
Recently, I opened my Hadar Creations LLC (Hadar Creations is a Publishing and Coaching outfit that houses all my divine expressions in book publishing, identity and leadership coaching) jotter to scribble a few things and stumbled upon a note I had written and asterisked in December 2024:
And it read “Focus on writing to Kingdom Writers all through the year 2025.”
That single note jolted me and shifted me into a thanksgiving mode.
It reminded me that I had received this as a divine instruction, and by God’s grace, I’ve been walking in obedience to it. From weekly writings, to consultations, and publishing projects, testimonies have poured in, some people have shared how these articles have liberated them, aligned them, and helped them begin their kingdom writing projects.
Some of these people have already hired our services at Hadar Creations LLC as their Publisher.
When I wrote that instruction, I didn’t see the full picture.
I was simply obeying.
I stayed spiritually alert and resisted the warfare of distraction and forgetfulness, two dangerous tools the enemy uses to rob Kingdom writers of their divine impact.
How can Kingdom Writers Overcome the Warfare of Forgetfulness and Distraction
Here’s a step-by-step strategy to remain alert and focused in your divine writing mandate:
1. Journal Your Instructions Immediately
Don’t trust your memory with divine mandates. The moment God speaks, write it down, date it, and highlight or asterisk it. Your jotters, notebooks, or digital tools (like a “Kingdom Writing Instructions” folder) should carry these words like scrolls.
2. Create a System of Reminders
Turn your divine instructions into systems:
-
Set calendar alerts (weekly, monthly) to revisit them.
-
Print them out and place them where you pray or work.
-
Use tools like Trello, Notion, or simple sticky notes for visual reminders.
3. Guard Against “Useful Distractions”
Not all distractions are sinful, some are even ministry-related. But if they pull you away from your core divine assignment, they’re distractions nonetheless. Be discerning.
4. Build in Accountability
Share your divine writing goals with a trusted mentor, fellow writer, or coach. Accountability doesn’t just keep you on track, it helps you refine your clarity over time.
5. Revisit Your Scrolls Regularly
Once a month, go back to what God told you, reread old journals, prophecies, dreams, and nudges. Don’t let divine blueprints gather dust. Revival often comes from remembrance.
6. Pray Against the Spirit of Slumber and Confusion
This is not just a mental battle, it’s spiritual. There is a spirit behind forgetfulness, dullness, heaviness, weariness and inconsistency. Pray regularly to remain sharp, aligned, and awake.
7. Celebrate Obedience, Not Just Results
You won’t always see the fruit immediately. But when you obey the instruction to write, Heaven sees it. The testimonies will come, but your reward is first in your obedience.
In conclusion:
Beloved Kingdom writer, your pen is a tool of divine influence. Do not fall asleep. Do not be distracted. Stay alert. The enemy is counting on you to forget who you are and what you’ve been called to write. But God is counting on your obedience to birth the books and messages that will liberate generations.
Let this final day of the month be a checkpoint. Revisit your scrolls. Renew your commitment. And above all, STAY AWAKE and SHARP!
Thank you for reading till the end.
I will see you next week, and in the new and blessed month of May by God’s grace with a new topic!
If you have been blessed, please share, I will be glad you did.
