Thank you for following The Anointed Pen: Writing as a Sacred Call for Kingdom Influence series.
I truly appreciate you for joining me on this journey to uncover the significance of being a Kingdom writer in the year 2025
Our focus for this month of December is: The Scribe’s Reward: Finishing Well, and our topic for this week is: The Reward of Faithfulness: Gratitude as a Writer’s Posture
Theme Scripture:
“Praise the Lord, my soul, and forget not all His benefits.” Psalm 103:2
One of the greatest secrets of sustained writing grace is gratitude.
Not talent.
Not visibility.
Not viral moments.
But a grateful heart that recognizes the hand of God in every stage of the writing journey.
As a scribe, you are not just writing words, you are stewarding revelations, insights, and impressions the Holy Spirit entrusts to you. And stewardship flourishes in an atmosphere of gratitude. When your posture is thanksgiving, your creativity flows with ease, your spirit stays open, and your hand remains sensitive to divine whispers.
Gratitude is the writer’s anchor.
It keeps you from measuring your worth by numbers.
It keeps your heart steady when the algorithm ignores you.
It keeps your motives pure when others seem to be advancing faster.
It reminds you that your assignment is sacred, even when unseen.
Many writers grow frustrated because they measure progress only by public outcomes. But Heaven measures faithfulness. God sees the pages you wrote that no one read yet. He sees the posts you shared in obedience. He sees the drafts you started, the discipline you developed, the days you wrote even when inspiration seemed far away.
These are your benefits, the blessings you must not forget.
When you pause and look back, you will see that God has carried you, taught you, stretched you, and refined your voice this year.
Your thinking is sharper. Your pen is steadier. Your identity as a scribe is clearer. Gratitude allows you to recognize all of this.
A thankful writer is an empowered writer.
Gratitude transforms frustration into fuel.
It shifts your perspective from lack to abundance.
It frees you from comparison so you can honor your unique path.
And most importantly, it positions you to hear God for your next season of authorship.
The scribe who finishes the year well is the one who looks back not with regret or self-criticism, but with thanksgiving acknowledging that every step, even the quiet and painful ones, was guided by God’s wisdom.
So today, write from a posture of gratitude.
Thank God for the ideas He gave you.
Thank Him for the healing your writing brought.
Thank Him for the courage to share your voice.
Thank Him for the discipline to keep showing up.
Thank Him for the unseen ways He strengthened your gift.
Thank Him for the lives you are shaping.
Because gratitude is not just a feeling,
it is the reward of faithfulness, and the gateway to new realms of revelation.
Reflection:
What has God done in your writing journey this year that you haven’t thanked Him for yet?
Prayer:
Father, I thank You for every idea, every word, every lesson, and every moment You have guided my pen. Teach me to carry gratitude as my posture and faithfulness as my offering. Let my heart remain tender and thankful as You lead me into my next season of writing. Amen.
Thank you for reading till the end.
I will see you next week by God’s grace!
If you have been blessed, please share, I will be glad you did.
