Thank you for following The Anointed Pen: Writing as a Sacred Call for Kingdom Influence series.
I truly appreciate you for joining me on this journey to uncover the significance of being a Kingdom writer.
Our focus for this month of May is:The Nature of Kingdom Writing: Truth, Love, and Redemption.
And today I will be writing on “The Pen of Truth-Writing What Aligns with God’s Heart”
In an age where opinions often outweigh eternal truths, the Kingdom writer is not just a creative but a custodian of truth. We do not write to impress; we write to express God’s heart, bringing clarity where there is confusion, and light where darkness hides in clever language.
The Bible says in John 1:14 that “The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.”
Our pen is sacred, and it must carry heaven’s sound, full of grace and truth.
How do you steward your writing as a Kingdom Writer?
1. Understand that as a Kingdom Writer, you are a Custodian of Truth
-
Kingdom writers are not just storytellers, we are stewards.
-
In a world where content is cheap, fast, and often misleading, we must choose to carry the weight of truth, not trends.
-
Our words must reflect the character of the One who sent us. The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of truth (John 16:13), and He should guide every sentence we write.
Reflection:
“What I write may be read in moments but may live in someone’s spirit forever, am I offering truth or a diluted version of it?”
2. Discerning Divine Revelation Accurately
-
Not every spiritual impression should be written. Discerning what to write requires intimacy with God.
-
Ask: Is this for personal edification, intercession, or publication?
-
Accuracy in revelation comes from depth in relationship, spending time in the Word and prayer until clarity comes.
-
Avoid embellishment or spiritual exaggeration. Truth doesn’t need a performance to have power.
Tip:
Practice spiritual journaling before public writing. Test what you sense against Scripture. This is so vital for every Kingdom writer, as your feelings and thoughts can sometimes negate the Scriptures.
3. Stewarding Without Compromise
-
Don’t water down divine instructions to suit popular opinion.
-
Like the prophets, sometimes your writing will confront before it comforts.
-
Trust the One who gave you the message to protect and provide for the impact it will have.
-
Remember Paul’s words: “I did not shrink back from declaring to you the whole counsel of God.” (Acts 20:27)
Encouragement:
You’re not writing to win followers, you’re writing to point them to the Way, the Truth, and the Life.
This week, recommit your pen to God. Let your writing be drenched in truth, raw, redemptive, and rooted in Scripture. You are a voice in the wilderness of words. Write what aligns with God’s heart, and trust Him to make it bear fruit in the right hearts.
Thank you for reading till the end.
I will see you next week by God’s grace in a new episode!
If you have been blessed, please share, I will be glad you did.
